We need your help!

Swinford A.C. Club has grown significantly over the past three years and we have over 300 members. In order for the club to continue to function efficiently and grow into the future we need more help as the club is being run by a small group of volunteers. We are therefore asking for each family to show a commitment to the club by selecting an area in which you would be available to help out. If each family can commit to one task we can continue to build and operate a very successful club.

Coaching

There are numerous fantastic training courses provided by Athletics Ireland throughout the year and we encourage all interested to participate in them. Garda vetting will be required as standard for all coaches. All coaches are required to be fully paid up members of the club for insurance purposes.

If training is not your thing you may consider offering help in the following areas.

Marshalling/Stewards

Acting as a marshal on the road at club training drop offs and collections or at one of the fund raising races/events which are held throughout the year.

Catering

Serving tea and coffee at the ends of our many events during the year. Baking buns, cakes and making tarts, scones and sandwiches.

Skills

Do you have specific skill where you can provide labour or help to the club as we build or improve facilities for all.

Fundraising

To further enhance the facilities of Swinford A.C. it is proposed that we organise a number of fundraising events to accomplish this throughout 2017 and all the way up to the clubs 20th anniversary. To this end all fundraising ideas are welcome and we would love your input and support.
